Join a newly created Strategizing to Conception team within a Global Automotive Company as a Digital Social Scientist - focusing on Automotive strategy.
This is a unique opportunity to partner with the conceptualizing team, to bring your strategizing ideas to life, including how users will want to experience EV's in the soon to be future.
We're looking for someone that is strategy focused, has technical knowledge, knows the digital space, and can combine all these areas to see the big picture of what's coming next in the automotive industry.
This is a highly creative and collaborative role that requires excellent communication to persuade overall direction of your vision to story-tell your vision.
Responsibilities:
o Identify brand access points for what is possible in the digital space.
o Come up with ideas of how users will want to experience EV's in the soon to be future and partner with the Automotive Design Teams to bring those ideas to life.
o Consult and partner throughout the conceptualization process for all areas of automotive vehicles:
o Dashboard, steering wheel, seats, interior/ exterior, etc.
o Potential to create visual elements, effects, and animations using 3D modeling, texturing, and other techniques.
o Communicate with Project Leaders and team members to understand their design requirements.
o Utilize your knowledge of design for your overall contributions.
o Conceptualizing and developing design ideas.
o Analyzing 3D arts and graphics and suggesting improvements.
o Optimizing 3D arts and models to develop real-life objects.
o Utilize your experience in qualitative research to conduct interviews, complete research, user stories and analysis of data.
o Lead research with a range of user groups to understand needs, identify pain points, deeply understand critical business documentation, information storage and accessibility needs.
o Create documentation & visualizations that describe the user experience, key pain points, and opportunities for improvement.
o Gather and cross-check detailed data and documents from stakeholders to build information architecture and data models.
o Create requirements to guide technical development, work to find solutions that serve the needs & goals of multiple individuals & teams.
o Identify opportunities for data quality, system improvement& automation.
o Effective communication of overall strategy / persuade overall direction of their vision - pitching o Story-telling o Communication of needs to the group(s) they're collaborating with / cross-collaborationRequirements:
o Bachelor's degree/ major(s) in any of the following areas:
Themed Entertainment, Game Development and Interaction Design, Game Art, Computer Game Design, Computational Media, Games and Playable Media, Human Computer Interaction, Serious Games, Multi-interdisciplinary studies, Film/Cinema/Video Studies, Cognitive Science, Modeling, Virtual Environments and Simulation, Digital Arts, Social Scinces, Game and Interactive Media Design and/ or Design and Visual Communications o 0-3
years of work experience as a Graphic Designer, Visual Effects Artist, UX/UI Research, or a similar position in the Design industry o All industry experience will be considered but a desire to work in and contribute to the automotive industry is required.
o Strategy focused mindset, ideally with hands on experience in the digital space (internship and school experience will be considered).
o Knowledge of various 3D design techniques like Digital Sculpting, Procedural Modeling, Edge modeling, and Box/Subdivision Modeling.
o Highly creative and independent thinker that breaks the mold and wants to identify new design paths for the automotive industry.
o Strong communication skills:
storytelling to effectively communicate overall strategy to persuade your overall direction/ vision.
o A team player and having the ability to work independently.
o Ability to work under pressure and with strict deadlines.
o Familiar with Unity.
