Essential Job
Responsibilities:
Work closely with various internal departments including Licensing Department for revenue projections and related marketing expense analysis.
Work with licensees for AR and Minimum Guarantee collections.
Perform Licensing revenue accounting functions, including royalty statement review and processing, as well as booking of revenue income and expense.
Follow up on discrepancies as necessary.
Review royalty statements against contractual terms.
Provide ownership of licensee accounts by demonstrating proactive management of the key elements of the revenue process and ensuring timely and accurate results.
Manage master licensee tracking and payment files.
Generate and send invoices for contractual obligations for Licensing division.
Assist with quarterly and year-end audit requests from external auditors.
Compile supporting documentation for third-party licensee audits.
Track commissions due to agents.
Send onboarding emails to new licensees, explaining reporting process and providing templates.
Assist with quarterly management reports to Tokyo headquarters.
Perform assigned month-end and quarter-end close deliverables and reconciliations.
Organized and details to maintain physical files/storage.
Ability to understand Debit and Credit to transact accounting entries in ERP.
Responsibilities may also include some general operational accounting and finance duties, as needed.
Various ad-hoc projects and analysis; other duties as assigned.
What do you bring to the table? Desired Skills and
Experience:
BA/BS degree 1-2 years of experience in Accounting or Finance function Well experienced in full cycles of AP, AR, and GL Industry
Experience:
CP Licensing experience preferred ERP
Experience:
Microsoft Dynamics 365 preferred.
Microsoft office with strong Excel skills (pivot tables, v-lookups, etc.
) Demonstrate strong quantitative and analytical skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact at all levels of the organization.
Must be an excellent team player who possesses strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
