Summary:
This is an exciting role in an innovative company.
The ideal candidate for the position is someone who has experience developing high-performance real-time, autonomous software systems to rapidly develop next-generation products.
Employ your experience by developing software systems that support functions such as autonomous target tracking, agile electronic beamforming, and real-time hardware control.
This role reports to the Director of Software.
Responsibilities:
Design and implement software for embedded devices and systems from requirements to production and deploymentDesign, develop, code, test, and debug system softwareBuild real-time control software for a variety of projectsAnalyze and enhance the efficiency, stability, and scalability of system resourcesDirect software QA and optimize I/O performanceInterface with hardware design and developmentAssess third-party and open-source softwareLead teams to create minimum viable products from an ideaDerive software frameworks and architectures to accelerate developmentMentor peers to advance team velocityBasic
Qualifications:

years of development in C and C++3
years working with embedded systems2
years of Architect experience with microservice and monolithic software architecturesAdditional experience with one or more modern systems language(s):
Python, Java, VHDL, Verilog, Go, Rust, etc.
Versed in multithreaded design (concurrency primitives, resource management, etc.
)Competent in computer science concepts (algorithms, data structures, object-oriented programming, etc.
)Strong foundations in mathematics, linear algebra, and physicsAdequate knowledge of reading schematics and data sheets for componentsBachelor s degree in computer science or similar disciplinePreferred Skills and

As required by the Equal Pay Transparency Act, Epirus provides a reasonable range of minimum compensation for roles that may be hired.
Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and specific office location.
For the state of California only, the range of starting pay for this role is:
$160,700 $185,100 USD.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
