DUTIES
The Senior Member Services Report Writer/Analyst is responsible for auditing, reviewing and analyzing membership eligibility, assignment, and demographic information and the related data trends (including, but not limited to, inbound and outbound call activity) for all product lines and serving as a primary resource in developing reporting within the Member Services department.
The Senior Member Services Report Writer/Analyst
- Develops reporting mechanisms that help to ensure the integrity of the membership information and the timely, accurate delivery of that information to internal and external stakeholders
- Performs technical and analytical work to support the functional and reporting requirements of the Member Services department
- Consults and collaborates with departmental and cross-functional peers, managers and supervisors, to address, elevate, and resolve any issues that may impact the efficient, accurate, timely processing of the data and reflection of information in the system
- Assists supervisors and leads within the Member Services department in identifying, remediating, and resolving issues with the inbound and outbound data and related reporting
- Maintains an up-to date knowledge of requirements, standards, and regulations pertaining to inbound and outbound file specifications, privacy, etc. related to the handling and processing of the data
- Plays an active role in identifying business requirements and workflows associated with the systems upgrades and implementations (including, but not limited to, the upcoming QNXT implementation and enhancement of the MAA module)
The Senior Member Services Report Writer/Analyst must have recent experience working with membership data and trends preferably in a Medi-Cal managed care or commercial healthcare environment.
The Senior Member Services Report Writer/Analyst must:
- Be proficient in Microsoft Access
- Have an in depth knowledge of report development in a SQL environment
- Have recent experience working with an Enrollment/Membership Information or IS department in resolving data integrity issues and analyzing and reporting data trends
- Demonstrate leadership and interpersonal communication skills by working collaboratively and effectively with peers, superiors, and subordinates to accomplish objectives
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION:
Associate or Bachelor of Science or Arts Degree in Finance, Business Administration, or Related Field, with at least five (5) years of work experience
Experience:
Required:
- At least ten (10) years experience working with healthcare data in a reports development role.
- Must have at least ten (10) years direct experience developing reports derived from a SQL or Oracle database.
- A minimum of ten (10) years experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in a setting involving significant interaction with enrollment/membership/call center data.
- Must have at least five (5) years experience working with healthcare eligibility files and be proficient in handling retroactive eligibility data.
- Must have solid understanding of software development methodologies and be able to assess appropriate methodologies for the work assigned to the unit.
- Must have excellent communication skills, strong analytical and coaching/mentoring skills, team building skills and the ability to work effectively with diverse team members.
- Must have the ability to perform extensive root cause analysis of problem areas and recommend alternative solutions.
- Must be able to work in an environment where critical time constraints exist.
This is a full-time Contract (possible contract to hire)position and is to start as soon as possible.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
