Rate: $90.00 per hour (W2 ONLY)

Solutions Architect (SA) will provide architecture services to support the business and infrastructure projects that are planned for FY16. The role of the SA is responsible to work with the application technical team and infrastructure engineering teams to design technical solution for the application and infrastructure systems. The ideal candidate should have strong big data, infrastructure systems knowledge and application design working experience. The candidate is driven to operate and deliver results to the business within given SLA's and business priorities and ensure timely and accurate follow-through, escalation and reporting.
Responsibilities include:
o Design and architect infrastructure for application systems and solution architecture for ITSM system
o Design, and oversee implementation of end-to-end integrated systems.
o Document the company's existing systems architecture and technology portfolio; make recommendations for improvements and/or alternatives.
o Review new and existing systems design projects and procurement or outsourcing plans for compliance with standards and architectural plans.
o Design and implement long-term strategic goals and short-term tactical plans for managing and maintaining corporate systems and software
o Ensure that proposed and existing systems architectures are aligned with organizational goals and objectives
o Conduct research on emerging technologies in support of systems development efforts, and recommend technologies that will increase cost effectiveness and systems flexibility
o Confer with end-users, clients, or senior management to define business requirements for complex systems and infrastructure development
Daily Tasks Performed:
o Solution design for ITSM project
o Confer with end-users, clients, or senior management to define business requirements for complex systems and infrastructure development
o Model systems processes based on findings through use case scenarios, workflow diagrams, and data models
o Develop, document, communicate, and enforce a policy for standardizing systems and software as necessary
Position Success Criteria:
o Hands-on experience with application system design
o Good knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws
o Exceptional understanding of the organization's goals and objectives
o Understanding of Mobile Development Environments (HTML4, Native, and Hybrid)
o Understanding of cloud - SaaS, IaaS, PaaS, vendor integration, data protection, and security
REQUIRED SKILLS/
Experience: (Resume must reflect this experience)
o Experience with disaster recovery architecture design for large IT organization with infrastructure which includes mainframe, open systems and SAN storage platforms.
o Strong experience with this technology stacks which include Websphere Application Server (WAS), Data Power, F5 load balancer, Tivoli Identity Manager, Tivoli Access Manager, Websphere Enterprise Service Bus, MQ Series.
o Possesses some experiences with Cisco UCS and Nutanix
o In-depth technical knowledge of network, PC, and platform operating systems, including AIX, Windows, Linux
o Working technical knowledge of current systems software, protocols, and standards.
o Strong design knowledge with middleware/interface technologies/methods
o Familiar with both Cloudera's and MapR's topology and architect.
o Working technical knowledge of Mobile technology and solutions.
o Exposure to architecture design of Big Data infrastructure which includes Hadoop and MapReduce.
o Proven project planning and management experience
o EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree from an accredited 4 year college or university in IT related degree
o Strong knowledge of software evaluation principles and practices
o Hands-on experience with business requirements gathering/analysis
o Proven experience in systems and network design and development
o Ability to present ideas in user-friendly language.
o Able to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
o Have a background in RDBMS and Data warehouse
o It would be great if he/she knows predictive analytic, statistic and data visualization tools, such as SAS and Cognos
o Solid grounding in core enterprise applications
o Ability to conduct research into emerging technologies and trends, standards, and products as required.
o Strong understanding of information processing principles and practices.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
