By 1970, Chevrolet introduced the ultimate powerhouse for its midsize muscle car and was voted the best muscle car of all by 'Car and Driver'.
It was also the year GM lifted its displacement ban on all its midsize muscle cars.
Today, it is regarded as one of the most fearsome muscle cars of all time.
GM built the car to show up Ford and Mopar and the all out performance of the LS-6 454 had the competition shuddering.
